”I suppose she will be, in the state Ridley sounds to be in, she would be more focused with a blunt attack than careful planning.” That statement was somewhat true, but Eligius knew that there would be more behind Ridley’s attack at least there would be as things progressed. The first wave could simply be rage and frustration combined with the desire for revenge, but if Ridley wanted to seriously claim victory for her father and her people…those attacks would need to be well organized and carefully planned out to every last detail. The thoughts however, that spun endlessly around in his mind were not ones that he shared…instead the young leaders only comment to Kaline’s words was a remark that aimed at his own weaknesses. “ I bet she will believe that Animos's leader is incapable of holding his own against the might of Sapienta.” His words softly laid out into the open as a feathery laugh trailed after his response. “Tomorrow I’d like to go to Lingua, but not under the pretense of just merely seeking aid.” The golden eyed male began stating his plans as he looked toward the direction he had previously came from after his “secret” meeting with Ridley had come to an end. It would be awhile still before he could see the ashen pelted leader, which would now…although it pained his heart…be considered his enemy if met upon the battlefield.

Kaline's ears tilted forward, her eyes sharpening and her brow creasing in worry. Eligius was not one to put himself down, and the laughter that tinkled from his throat after his words just about scared her. What had happened with Eligius? Was he truly worried about the pack falling to Sapentia? Or was there something more going on that he failed to share with the others that gathered around him in the lightening dawn.

"What more are you going to be looking for exactly Eligius?" Kaline asked, her words piercing. Personally, she was getting to be sick of her leader's secrecy. She growled softly and inaudibly, her claws digging into the soft ground that slowly dried in the rising sun.It would be one thing to have this going on with just the grown wolves in the pack but the fact of the matter remained that her sister's child was living in the camp, barely able to wander a few feet outside of the the camp none the less fight for herself and others.

Although Kaline wasn't exactly her guardian, she felt responsible for the child and it was her duty as her aunt to protect her. "Eligius, we have children in the pack, we can't remain loitering around." Kaline voiced her concerns then, it had to be brought up at some point, but also made clear to the leader that it was a major concern of hers.

Everything after this was muted to Aivlyn. She simply stood there after that. She was absolutely still, not a single muscle twitch, other than her eyes flicking ever so slightly. It was almost the only thing that made her seem still alive, a subtle hint to the storm of thought within her mind. She was still, because her thoughts and mind were raging with motion. Images of that final battle, that final stand, with her friends raged behind her eyes. She nearly flinched as she relived Linnea's howl of rage. Though she remained still.

How could she live with herself, if these thoughts kept her from protecting this new pack. If her fears of future battles kept her from doing her best when they did come. Because, she was fairly sure, they would. Now she moved. Looking up, she surveyed the couple wolves around her. None of them looked like seasoned guardians. She saw no other battle worn wolves in this pack. Potential, she saw much. But experience, she saw little. She could not be sure, but her first impressions troubled her. What was it like at Sapienta? Were they more prepared for this then Animos was? If none else stepped up to tell them how to fight, Aivlyn would.

"Eligius, we have children in the pack, we can't remain loitering around."

Children? There were young here? Aivlyn's head snapped to look at Destra, though now her eyes were calm. It was true, then. Aivlyn had to keep her mind off being worried, and keep it focused on doing what she had already decided was her job. Back at her home, children.. They were almost sacred. They seemed to always glow with new life and power, potential. Of all the things her pack had fought to keep safe, it was the young, who as far as Aivlyn knew, had been kept virtually harmless. Virtually.

"Animos cannot fall to Sapienta." She said, with as much certainty as she could muster. If anything, Eligius needed to be assured that, so much that he completely believed it. Now, to her, he seemed the slightest doubtful. Aivlyn was not good at discerning wolves, though, so if it was something else, she was probably blind to it. "I.. Hmm" She paused, what she had been about to say.. It felt too revealing. Too much. So she stopped it, instead pretending to be thoughtful. Then, to further cover up the slip, she stomped her foot. Though, it was more a thud then a stomp. "I will not let Sapienta take down this pack.." She grumbled.

Eligius sighed as the words of the others slowly entered his richly colored ears, and soon left him with each word coursing throughout his own thoughts. They didn’t seem to quite understand what he had meant, but getting what he was trying to say into actual words was more difficult than one might think. “Please, don’t think that I don’t know what we have on the line Kaline.” Eligius began although the terms he spoke came out much slower than his previous ones had, and for the moon pelted male that was highly unusual from his normal up beat and easy going tone.

Though there was no more room for a misunderstanding at least not as far as the golden eyed leader of Animos Regum was concerned. “If she believes I’m incompetent during this time, we should welcome it.”

If one truly though about it the way Eligius saw it, wouldn’t it be better to allow Ridley to believe that he was in fact weaker than her instead of leading her to believe he was stronger and at least somewhat capable enough to beat her in this game of revenge. “I know I’m still quite young and that could potential be a problem, but I have no intentions of letting Ridley have her revenge…not in the way she plans to take it…at least. So I ask that you just extend a bit of trust to me, and let me handle things my way for now.” He continued though while he had been speaking a look of sheer determination had taken over his entire figure.

As for Lingua nothing was set in stone, and there was no grantee that Caecis will even be willing to help. Why would she want to put her pack in harms way? If you think logically about it no leader in their right mind would sacrifice their own…when the battle was not theirs to fight. Sapientia Saecolorum had no business with Lingua, so why get into something that would put them in the direct line of Ridley’s revenge alongside Animos? Eligius wanted their aid because it had already been stated that with another pack…the chances of your victory were increased, but he would not tarnish the Animos Regum image…and he would not beg for their aid.

If in fact they were turned down, he would look elsewhere he would find others..perhaps loners to fight at his side..but he would not beg.

At Eligius's words, Kaline found there was nothing else to be said. If he had a plan to hide, it was more than likely in her best interest not to question. He was alpha after all, and how would it look if Kaline was there to refute his every word? It wasn't a very positive view of her.

Even if Lingua agreed, which it was very possible they wouldn't, would they still be enough to survive the rage of woman torn from her love? Kaline knew from experience that the anger consumes everything in it's path, from the fun in life, to the fun in the life of others. It could kill for no reason, bite the head off of an innocent bystander. The anger of loss was not one to under estimate.

Lowering her head, Kaline pondered this fact, ruefully remembering how snappy and negative she had become when her sister had passed, it wasn't something that anyone would consider 'pretty'. She had become secluded, isolated herself, and nearly snapped the neck of anyone who tried to help her overcome her grief. Her passing took away nearly a year of her life and had left her hollow bellied and with a sputtering flame that barely flickered. Her eyes grew dark, her ears mournfully falling to lie flat against her skull. Grief was not a friendly foe.
